Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born on 13 October the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a musician, singer and actor who hails from in the United States. Ashanti was famous when she was a teenager. The year 2002 was when she was signed to Murder Inc. Records. Ashanti appeared the same day on Fat Joe's What's Luv? track and Ja Rule's Always on Time track. Both of them became massive hits. She became the first female artist to have the highest two positions within the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at the top spot and the track What's Luv? What's Luv?
